About Us
Moore’s Machinery officially started in 2019. Today, we primarily provide mechanical support services for arboricultural, grounds & plant machinery, alongside selling dependable used machinery & attachments. With in-house machining capabilities, if a part can no longer be bought, or something requires extensive repairs or modification, we can fabricate or machine a replacement.
A Brief History
Moore’s Machinery origins can be traced back to when Tom was 14 years old, trying to earn enough money to buy his first car. Finding an old, non-starting lawnmower in his parents' shed, Tom fixed it, painted it, and sold it. The proceeds funded the purchase of another mower, and the process was repeated.
A year later, when it was time to complete school work experience, Tom reached out to the company he had been buying parts from: Clifton’s Turf Machinery. Upon leaving school, Tom went to work at Cliftons and stayed for five years, gaining hands-on expertise with all types of grounds machinery. Following his time at Cliftons, he transitioned to a plant hire company while steadily building a small client base in his spare time.
April 2019 marked the official launch of Moore’s Machinery, focusing primarily on servicing and repairing grounds equipment. In 2020, alongside regular servicing work, the business expanded into building custom truck tipper bodies tailored to the tree surgery industry. By prioritizing exceptional quality and incorporating innovative features that mainstream body builders overlooked, Moore's Machinery carved out a distinct reputation.
Since then, the focus has shifted toward arboricultural and plant machinery, alongside strong partnerships with Multione importers. Today, Moore’s Machinery is dedicated to supplying high-quality machinery and, most importantly, providing the expert backup and support needed to keep machines running at their best.
Since getting married in 2024, Tom’s wife, Chloe, has started to transition into the company, helping with admin, and occasionally being dragged out to assist with refitting an engine. She has also done a very good job of designing this website (even if she does say so herself!).
